Francis M. ADZAKPA-AKOTO (PE GhIE)

Ing. Adzakpa-Akoto Francis is an environmental sanitation expert with a civil Engineering background. He has over nineteen (19) years of civil engineering construction supervision and 9 nine years of experience in landfill design & construction, and Solid waste Transfer Stations.
The notable amongst projects he has executed is the Kpone landfill decommissioning project, using the state-of-the-art technology known as the Landfill Closure Turf for the final cap, the first of its kind in Africa. His passion is to research and design a simplified physicochemical landfill leachate treatment system for developing countries. Prior to his current re-appointment at Waste Landfills Company Limited, he was the general manager for Landfill Technologies Limited who superintended the daily operation of the organization. Ing. Adzakpa-Akoto has also taken several waste management and related courses and programmes in Germany, South Africa, Turkey, Brazil, Kenya, etc.
He holds an MSc. In Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Ghana and a BSc. in Civil Engineering & Management from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), United Kingdom. He is a professional member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).
Michael Kwame Adzadu is an accomplished accounting professional with a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years. Currently, he holds the position of Finance Manager at Waste Landfills Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Zoomlion/Jospong Group. Since joining the Jospong Group in 2003, he has held various roles and positions within different subsidiaries, including the Finance Manager at the Head Office of the Jospong Group of Companies.
Michael is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts (ICA), Ghana. His academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance, an MBA in Project Management, a BSc in Banking and Finance, and an HND in Accounting. Additionally, he has actively participated in numerous training programs and workshops locally and internationally, in the fields of accounting, finance, and waste management, organized by reputable institutions such as ICA Ghana, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA).
Daniel Kwaku Asante
Monitoring and Service Quality Manager (MSQM)
Daniel Kwaku Asante is the Monitoring and Service Quality Manager at Waste landfills Company Limited, where he supports the development and implementation of Monitoring and Service Quality strategies, systems, policies and procedures, and the supervision of Landfill Management processes to ensure they meet quality expectations of the business strategies.
He is an Environmental Scientist with over eleven (11) years of working experience with Landfill Management. He managed several final waste disposal sites (dumpsites and engineered landfill sites) in the Greater Accra Region from September 2009 to April 2017, including the Mallam SCC, Sarbah, Achimota and Abokobi Dumpsites and the Tema Sanitary Landfill site.
Before his appointment at Waste Landfills Company Limited in 2015, Daniel was a Landfill Supervisor at Zoomlion Ghana Limited, where he managed the Tema Engineered Landfill site.
He was appointed as the Assistant Operations Manager at Waste Landfills Company Limited in April 2017 to supervise and monitor all operational plans for all the dumpsites and engineered landfill sites across the country, under the Landfill Management Program (LAMP) with all the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
Daniel holds a BSc in Environmental Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Also, he has a Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) certificate from the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). In addition, he has participated in several waste management-related courses and programs (e.g., Waste Management in Developing Countries, Waste Expo, Landfill Management and Waste Transfer Station Management) in various countries, including Malaysia, Germany, South Africa, and Benin.

Human Capital & Administration Manager
Mrs Beatrice Borteley Kwei-Kumah is a Human Resource Professional with over eleven (11) years in Human Resource generalist affairs. She is currently the Human Capital and Admin Manager for Waste Landfills Company Limited, a Landfill Operation company. As part of her role in Waste Landfills, she provides a full range of Human Capital Services for the subsidiary, drives and manages human capital programmes, and provides Human Resource Centre of Excellence services. She has an extensive background in human resource generalist affairs, including employee recruitment and retention, staff development, mediation, conflict resolution, benefits and compensation, HR records management and HR policies development.
Before her appointment at Waste Landfills, Beatrice was the Head of Human Resources of Local Enterprises and Skills Development Limited, a public-private initiative introduced by the Jospong Group of Companies and the Government of Ghana to bridge the unemployment gap in Ghana. She worked from April 2011 to January 2019. She served as the Secretary to the Board of Directors for Local Enterprises and Skills Development Programme (LESDEP) in 2012 and was appointed a Board Member for LESDEP & Bell Global Management Limited in 2016.

She is a Member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (CIHRM), Ghana.
